Panel Discussion on Zoom

About the Event

On Thursday, July 20, at 11 AM PST, we invite you to join us for an engaging panel with Rita Petrenko, the founder of Al-Bait Al-Mokhtalef (The Different House), an LGBTQ+ organization in Israel catering to the Arab community, and Ala, a gay Druze activist currently living in Tel Aviv. They will each speak to their experiences of being Arab in and near Israel, and what LGBTQ+ life is like for them and their communities. You are encouraged to watch the film The Invisible Men prior to the panel, However, each panelist will speak to themes from the film, so it is not required to have seen the film to attend the panel. To receive the Zoom link for the discussion, register here.

This is A Wider Lens program sponsored by the IJWC/EBIJFF, Contra Costa Jewish Community Center, A Wider Bridge, and the Consulate General of Israel of the Pacific Northwest.
