Tatmi is a collaboration between Israeli Academy Award-winning Guy Nattiv (Golda) and Iranian actress-turned-director Zar Amir Ebrahim (star of Holy Spider). Set during an intense day at a World Championship judo event in the country of Georgia, this movie introduces us to rising Iranian judo competitor Leila and her coach Maryam. While they are intent on winning Iran's first gold medal in the games, the government of the Islamic Republic tells Leila to fake an injury rather than compete with an Israeli player. If she refuses to do this, the leaders of her country will brand her a traitor. Should she follow her government's orders or stay in the competition and fight for her dream of victory?

Tatami premiered to critical acclaim at the Venice International Film Festival and won the Freedom of Expression Award. This film is co-directed by an Israeli and an Iranian filmmaker, the first movie to ever break ground onscreen. It was made during the 2022 protests in Iran and is a tense sports drama as well as a powerful political statement.
