Matchmaking, Israel’s biggest box office hit of 2022, brings together a Romeo and Juliet story but with a sweetly, romantic ending. When ultra-Orthodox Moti (Amit Rahav from the hit Unorthodox) starts to look for a bride, he falls in love with Nechama. Despite his emotional connection, his family objects. Nechama is Mizrahi but his family insists that he marry someone who is Ashkenazi.
