Based on true events in 1948 during the War of Independence, two cultures have their values tested as an Egyptian filmmaker is tasked with documenting a raid on the isolated seaside kibbutz, Nitzanim. Guest Speaker: Deputy Consul General Matan Zamir of the Consulate General of Israel to the Pacific Northwest will discuss the 1948 Battle of Nitzanim, during which Egyptian forces overwhelmed the Israeli seaside kibbutz, the 1947-1949 War of Independence, and the young fighters and their place in Israel's history.
