About the Event
Following an in-person screening of Jon Avnet's film Uprising in San Francisco on November 6th, JPEF will be hosting a live stream of a Q&A. The conversation will take place on Sunday, November 6th at 5 PM Pacific and will feature the co-writer and director of the film, Jon Avnet, Holocaust scholar Dr. Michael Berenbaum, and Dr. Steven Meed, son of Warsaw Ghetto fighter and chronicler Vladka Meed (z''l). The film powerfully portrays one of the seminal acts of Jewish resistance during the Holocaust - the Warsaw Ghetto Revolt. This live-stream event will not include a screening of Uprising. To watch the film beforehand, it is available to rent on Amazon Prime. A link to the live stream will be emailed to you 72 hours prior to the discussion. Register here.
