Synopsis: 1919, Ukraine. The world is torn by hatred and revenge in the wake of the First World War and the Russian Revolution. Anton, a Catholic, and Jakob, a Jew, refuse to let their religious differences prevent a friendship. Their story unfolds in a small village near the Black Sea, a region settled by German families many decades earlier, and where Jakob’s family lives.

Admission to Rosenbaum's talk and the film streaming:  $14. Free for IJWC Year-round 2022-23 subscribers who will receive complimentary registration to both.
