Alfred Hitchcock’s 1946 film Notorious, starring Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains, and Cary Grant, is set in NYC and South America. This global thriller is all about denied love, love found, deception and intrigue (plus arsenic and a bottle of uranium). Join us for one of the master director’s best films, wine and friends! Doors open at 6:30 PM; Notorious begins at 7:00 PM.
On Thursday, October 19, 7:00 PM PDT, Riva Gambert, EBIJFF Director, will share insights into the making of Notorious as well as discuss its Jewish screenwriter Ben Hecht's life as a social activist during and after WWII in support of the creation of a Jewish State. The link to this presentation will be sent to those who pre-register for the film screening by October 19, 5 PM PDT.
Admission is $5 per adult for the film screening and the 10/19 talk, $3 per household for just the talk. Register for the film online in advance or at the door. IJWC Year-Round 2022-2023 subscribers will receive a complimentary registration.
