Matchmaking, Israel’s biggest box office hit of 2022, brings together a Romeo and Juliet story but with a sweetly, romantic ending. When ultra-Orthodox Moti (Amit Rahav from the hit Unorthodox) starts to look for a bride, he falls in love with Nechama. Despite his emotional connection, his family objects. Nechama is Mizrahi but his family insists that he marry someone who is Ashkenazi. Will matchmaker Malki (Irit Kaplan from the Beauty Queen of Jerusalem) and her colleague, Baruch (Maor Schwitzer from Shtisel), have anything to say about it?
