French screen legend Daniel Auteuil stars in this suspenseful psychological thriller. Here, he plays Joseph Haffmann, a Polish-born Jewish jeweller who sells his shop to his employee Francois when the Nazis enter Paris. Unable to get to safety, he is forced to hide in the basement of his old shop. Soon his relationship with Francois and his wife Blanche changes as Francois befriends Nazi officers and Blanche shows growing affection towards him. Warning: References to sex and violence.
